A trip to Bonn
On Tuesday, the 8th, class 8a from Mr. Bettermann made a trip to Bonn. The weather was better than the forecast had said and so we enjoyed it very much. We took the train to Königswinter and visited the SeaLife-Aquarium. Many different fish and other creatures were there to admire. It was amazing!
After two hours and some lunch at the cafeteria we took the ferry across the River Rhine. Not all of us on the same ferry - but at last we were all on the other side. Then we went by bus and by subway to Bonn-Bad Godesberg to the "House of German History".
There we found lots of interesting, sometimes shocking facts about the Second World War and the time after. We met an English class and tried some communication with the girls and boys. They knew some German words!
Again we entered a train back to Cologne where we arrived at about 5 pm. Everybody was tired, but excited, too.
Me, the teacher, enjoyed the trip very much and I must give compliments to the class: you behaved quite well!
Betriebsbesichtigung beim WDR
Im März 2010 besuchen beide achten Klassen das Produktionsgelände des WDR in Bocklemünd. Die 8 A machte heute, am 3.3. den Anfang. Dort wurden die Schülerinnen und Schüler durch die Werkstätten geführt und erfuhren vieles über die Handwerksberufe, die dort ausgebildet werden: Raumausstatter, Tischler,Bühnenplastiker, Maler/Lackierer. Die Schülerinnen und Schüler fanden besonders die "Lindenstraße" spannend, die für eine Fernsehserie künstlich aufgebaute Straße, alles inklusive: Parkautomaten, Telefonzelle, Bushaltestelle, Geschäfte und als Höhepunkt: Bäume mit Blättern im Winter (dort werden die Folgen für später im Jahr gedreht, die Bäume müssen mit künstlichen Blättern "belaubt" werden).
Insgesamt ein schöner Ausflug, wenn auch von Herrn Bettermann etwas kurzfristig angekündigt ;-)
